This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design, develop, and enhance backend services, APIs, and integrations that support the capabilities of the caregiver platform.
• Contribute to the creation and implementation of scalable, secure, reliable, and high-performance technical solutions.
• Engage in architecture, design, and code reviews to ensure compliance with engineering standards, security best practices, and quality expectations.
• Work collaboratively with Product Managers, architects, and other stakeholders to convert business requirements into technical solutions.
• Diagnose and resolve intricate production issues, conduct root cause analysis, and apply preventive enhancements.
• Participate in platform modernization efforts, incorporating cloud-native architectures, microservices, and automation methodologies.
• Apply secure coding practices and ensure adherence to healthcare regulations, privacy standards, and organizational security protocols.
• Oversee and enhance system performance, reliability, scalability, and operational health.
• Guide junior engineers and disseminate technical knowledge to foster engineering best practices throughout the team.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies, healthcare industry developments, and software engineering best practices to enhance platform capabilities.
• Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent extensive industry experience.
• Over 5 years of professional software engineering experience, with significant expertise in backend application development within a product-oriented organization.
• Proven experience in designing, building, and delivering large-scale, high-performance, and highly available backend services and distributed systems.
• At least 2 years of experience in the healthcare sector, with a strong grasp of healthcare systems, data privacy, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Extensive hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS), including microservices, serverless architectures, and cloud-native design methods.
• Proficient in C#/.NET and Python, with a history of building and managing high-volume, production-grade APIs and services.
• Solid understanding of data storage technologies, encompassing relational databases (PostgreSQL, SQL Server) and NoSQL systems, with the capability to identify and resolve performance and scalability issues.
• Familiarity with frontend technologies such as Angular is preferred.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong knowledge of application security, identity and access management, and secure coding practices, with experience in developing compliant systems (HIPAA, OWASP).
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Cursor AI, GitHub Copilot) to enhance engineering productivity and code quality.
• Exposure to AI/ML-enabled solutions, especially within healthcare or patient-care workflows, is preferred.
• Excellent troubleshooting and debugging abilities across complex, distributed systems.
• Experience working in Agile environments and implementing DevOps practices, including CI/CD, observability, and operational excellence.
• Proven capability to mentor engineers, engage in design discussions, and advocate for engineering best practices within the team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to deliver practical, scalable, and innovative solutions.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, capable of clearly conveying complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
