Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Singapore.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and deploy features that enhance user experiences in earning, tracking, and redeeming rewards through HeyMax.

• Integrate AI tools into daily operations, including requirement analysis, implementation planning, testing, debugging, and code reviews.

• Make informed technical design choices that balance speed, reliability, maintainability, and overall product impact.

• Construct and uphold production-quality systems across mobile, backend, infrastructure, data, and AI-related domains.

• Lead projects from unclear requirements to successful, quantifiable outcomes.

• Produce clean, maintainable code while enhancing observability and strengthening testing processes.

• Participate in architectural discussions and take ownership of technical decisions within specific project areas.

• Conduct code reviews and enhance the quality of implementations.

• Collaborate with product, design, business, and operations teams to convert customer and business needs into technical solutions.

• Guide engineers through code reviews, pairing sessions, feedback, and sharing AI-assisted development practices.

• Recognize technical debt, reliability issues, and opportunities to boost developer efficiency.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent hands-on experience.

• Significant software engineering background, preferably with a history of delivering complex projects from start to finish.

• Technical expertise in one or more areas: mobile, backend, infrastructure, data, or AI.

• Experience in building and managing production systems utilized by actual users.

• Strong product intuition and the capability to make practical trade-offs in ambiguous situations.

• Active engagement with AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, or similar technologies.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with both technical and non-technical colleagues.

• High ownership mentality: you focus on outcomes rather than just completing tasks.

• Bonus: experience in fintech, loyalty/rewards systems, or multi-region deployments throughout Southeast Asia.
