Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain dependable, high-quality integrations between G-P's platform and various third-party HRIS systems (such as ADP, Workday, etc.).

• Create and implement new services utilizing a serverless, event-driven microservices architecture (AWS SAM/Lambda, EventBridge, SNS).

• Take ownership of and enhance elements of our public API platform, concentrating on solid REST API design and OAuth execution.

• Convert high-level product requirements into clearly defined workstreams, design specifications, and sprint stories.

• Collaborate closely with Product and User Experience teams to grasp requirements effectively.

• Contribute to the advancement of the SDLC and advocate for engineering best practices.

• Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Demonstrated ability to take initiative and excel in a multi-region remote-first setting.

• Practical problem-solving approach with the capability to adapt to changing requirements.

• Strong expertise in serverless architectures, particularly with AWS SAM/Lambda.

• Extensive, hands-on experience in designing and working with NoSQL databases, specifically DynamoDB.

• Proven background in designing, building, and maintaining microservices and bounded contexts.

• Demonstrated proficiency in REST API design and implementing event-driven patterns.

• Familiarity with CI/CD practices utilizing GitHub Actions.

• Experience in developing and integrating full-stack web applications using contemporary frameworks (e.g., Typescript, React, Node.js, APIs).

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
