Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of intricate maintenance tasks, defect resolution, customer-driven enhancements, and technical work from investigation and design through to production support.

• Design, develop, and sustain full-stack applications utilizing C#/.NET, Vue.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS, REST APIs, and SQL Server.

• Make design decisions that enhance maintainability, extensibility, performance, testability, and reliability.

• Create and sustain technical documentation, which includes solution approaches, API contracts, data flows, operational guidance, and design decisions.

• Triage and resolve complex production issues while delivering fixes and minor enhancements as part of Agile teams.

• Ensure quality through automated unit and integration tests, peer reviews, static analysis, and end-to-end testing support.

• Implement secure- and privacy-by-design practices and address vulnerabilities.

• Enhance observability and supportability through logging, monitoring, diagnostics, and root-cause analysis.

• Facilitate technical discussions and code reviews.

• Mentor engineers through pairing, design guidance, review feedback, and knowledge sharing.

• Collaborate with Product, Support, QA, DevOps, Architecture, and Security teams.

• Utilize approved generative AI tools for analysis, coding, testing, documentation, code review, and troubleshooting.

• Assess AI-generated outputs for accuracy, licensing, data exposure, security, maintainability, and alignment with coding standards.

• Develop reusable prompts, patterns, guidance, or automations to enhance team productivity.

• Stay updated on emerging technologies and recommend their adoption based on business value, risk, cost, and supportability.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• 8 or more years of professional software development experience, including ownership and support of complex production applications.

• Extensive hands-on experience with C#/.NET and contemporary web development using Vue.js and JavaScript/TypeScript.

• Strong background in designing and integrating RESTful APIs as well as working with relational databases, ideally SQL Server.

• Proven ability to write automated tests and apply modern engineering practices for code reviews, version control, build, and deployment workflows.

• Experience in applying software design principles, debugging complex issues, enhancing performance, and performing root-cause analysis.

• Background in Agile maintenance or product development teams, collaborating with Support, Product, QA, DevOps, Architecture, and Security partners.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the capability to articulate technical trade-offs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Demonstrated mentoring, technical leadership, and ownership without necessitating direct people-management responsibilities.

• Familiarity with GitHub, Jira, production support workflows, automated code-quality or security scanning, and modern observability platforms.

• Experience utilizing approved generative AI development tools such as GitHub Copilot in production-oriented workflows.

• Working knowledge of enterprise SaaS products.

• Experience in supporting enterprise applications and collaborating with distributed development, product, and customer-facing teams.
