📋 Description

• Design and create highly available and scalable backend services utilizing AWS.

• Develop and sustain event-driven, asynchronous systems with Node.js.

• Construct reliable REST and GraphQL APIs for both customer-facing and internal applications.

• Employ AI coding agents throughout the design, implementation, and testing phases while ensuring accuracy.

• Draft specifications, tests, and repository context for dependable agent-driven development.

• Collaborate with product, frontend, and infrastructure teams to deliver features that significantly impact the business.

• Participate in technical design discussions and promote team best practices.

• Share insights on AI patterns, tools, and lessons learned.

• Troubleshoot production issues and enhance system reliability.

• Elevate code quality through rigorous testing, observability, and comprehensive documentation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in backend engineering.

• Proficient in Node.js, JavaScript/TypeScript.

• Experience in developing systems on AWS (SQS, Lambda, EC2, RDS, etc.).

• Strong grasp of distributed systems and event-driven architecture.

• Experienced in designing and managing REST or GraphQL APIs.

• Familiar with both SQL and NoSQL databases.

• Committed to writing unit and integration tests.

• Knowledgeable in system design, caching, and security best practices (OWASP Top 10).

• Practical experience in deploying production code with AI coding agents (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot agent mode), including clear instances where intervention was necessary to correct or override outputs.

• Strong skills in code review, applied equally to AI-generated modifications.

• Must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident (green card holder).

• AWS certification and experience with high-scale or business-critical systems, pricing/quoting or numerically sensitive business logic, as well as agent workflows/custom tools/MCP integrations are desirable.
