Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Develop a comprehensive single-box emulator encompassing the entire hardware and software stack for release testing and future in-silico validation for customers.

• Design testing protocols for hardware-in-the-loop systems, ranging from unit coverage to complete end-to-end tests involving both real and simulated instruments.

• Establish verification, traceability, and documentation standards for software modifications in regulated environments.

• Create and enhance features for Console, the cloud-based bioprocess management software.

• Collaborate with software, hardware, and scientific teams to convert bioprocessing and operational needs into scalable technical solutions.

• Provide mentorship to fellow engineers and contribute to robust software development practices throughout the team.

• Gain knowledge in biotechnology and bioprocess development.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of professional experience in software engineering.

• Previous role as a Software Development Engineer in Test, Test Infrastructure Engineer, or a similar position focused on automation.

• Experience in developing and scaling full-stack applications, which includes both frontend development and backend service architecture.

• A product-oriented mindset with a focus on end-user perspectives.

• Strong technical expertise.

• Preferred: Familiarity with simulators, emulators, or hardware-in-the-loop testing frameworks.

• Preferred: Experience delivering software in regulated industries, such as medical devices, pharmaceuticals, biopharmaceuticals, or petrochemicals.

• Preferred: Background in Site Reliability Engineering or DevOps.

• Preferred: A deep interest in life sciences or biotechnology.
