Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Identify challenges, prioritize tasks, and make trade-offs in collaboration with Product and Design teams.

• Create design systems that encompass data models, API specifications, and potential failure scenarios.

• Break down tasks and compose specifications for AI agents to execute.

• Troubleshoot or directly manage intricate tasks within the code when necessary.

• Establish testing coverage and standards, guide AI in generating tests, and assess the quality of those tests.

• Integrate security, reliability, and observability into systems from the outset.

• Conduct thorough reviews of all work and take responsibility for the quality of production.

• Make decisions regarding deployments and address on-call incidents promptly.

• Gain insights from incidents to refine engineering practices.

• Mentor engineers in defining, delegating, and verifying work using AI.

• Participate throughout the entire software development lifecycle, from planning and design to production.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive server-side expertise in modern programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, Kotlin, or Go.

• Over 5 years of experience in full stack development.

• Proven track record of taking ownership of services from beginning to end.

• Familiarity with REST contracts, version control, OAuth2/OIDC, schema design, and SQL.

• Hands-on experience with asynchronous and event-driven systems, including Kafka or similar technologies, as well as idempotency.

• Experience in building and managing large-scale production systems on AWS or Azure.

• Proficiency with containers, Kubernetes or serverless architectures, infrastructure as code, and CI/CD pipelines.

• On-call experience managing production systems.

• Strong unit, integration, and contract testing strategies.

• Commitment to reliability and security, including SLOs, incident management, OWASP, and threat modeling.

• Experience with PHI/HIPAA or similar regulated data environments.

• Involvement in production environments utilizing agentic AI as a primary development interface.

• Ability to identify and rectify subtle issues in AI-generated outputs.

• Experience with LLM application engineering or modern TypeScript frontend development aligned with a design system is a plus.
