Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Transform business and functional requirements into scalable software designs and technical solutions.

• Create, develop, test, and sustain applications utilizing C#, SQL, REST APIs, and TypeScript.

• Deliver software features and enhancements independently with minimal oversight.

• Examine requirements, assess alternatives, and suggest suitable technical strategies.

• Diagnose and resolve production issues, application defects, and concerns reported by customers.

• Utilize logs, monitoring tools, and application performance metrics to identify and rectify system issues.

• Engage in code reviews and encourage compliance with engineering standards and best practices.

• Work alongside Product Managers, Architects, Quality Engineers, and fellow software engineers throughout the development process.

• Contribute to application design discussions, offering insights on architecture, performance, scalability, and maintainability.

• Offer technical guidance and share knowledge with junior engineers.

• Strive for continuous improvement in software quality, reliability, and operational efficiency.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline.

• Over 5 years of professional experience in software development.

• Proven experience in designing and developing business applications using object-oriented programming principles.

• Strong command of C# and SQL.

• Experience in designing and constructing RESTful APIs and service-oriented applications.

• Familiarity with developing web applications using TypeScript, JavaScript, or similar front-end technologies.

• Solid understanding of software design patterns and scalable application development.

• Experience in troubleshooting, debugging, and supporting production applications.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication capabilities.

• Ability to work autonomously while effectively collaborating within a cross-functional team.
