This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Design and implement highly scalable and dependable data systems for data-driven products and services on an AWS cloud platform.
• Collaborate closely with Data Science teams to develop solutions that integrate Machine Learning algorithms and models using Python along with Data Engineering libraries and tools.
• Provide robust and scalable functionality for data streaming applications.
• Rigorously uphold Standards for Regulatory Compliance and Information Security.
• Ensure accurate, complete, and up-to-date documentation is consistently delivered and maintained.
• Actively participate in and advocate for full Agile cycle engagements, which include meetings, iterative development, estimations, code reviews, and design sessions.
• Guide, mentor, and collaborate with fellow team members.
• Engage and contribute to architecture, product, and design decisions to achieve exceptional functionality and quality.
• Ensure timely delivery of documented and tested software to the platform engineering team.
• Take ownership of deliverables from the ideation phase through to production operationalization.

• A Bachelor's degree in Information and Computer Science, Business Analytics, Data Science, or a related field combined with 5 years of experience in the job offered or a Software Development Staff Engineer Senior-related role is acceptable.
• Proven experience in building and testing applications while adhering to secure coding practices.
• Hands-on experience as a team member in developing and supporting a substantial commercial software project using Python.
• Proficient in developing server-side Python applications utilizing mainstream frameworks, libraries, and tools such as Pandas, SciPy, PySpark, and Pydantic.
• Familiarity with contemporary cloud technologies like AWS (EC2, S3, RDS PostgreSQL, Lambda).
• Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL data access and management, specifically with PostgreSQL and MongoDB or AWS DocumentDB.
• Experience in constructing and managing commercial systems that handle data and transactions, including server-side development of Data Flow processes, integration of Machine Learning models, Data Enrichment, and ETL processes.
• Background in Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) practices and tools (CodeCommit, CodeDeploy, CodePipeline/Harness/Jenkins, CLI, BitBucket/Git, etc.).
