Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take full ownership of features and services throughout the Rails product application, Python machine learning/computer vision services, agent SDK layer, and data platform.

• Enhance the scalability, reliability, and cost-effectiveness of computer vision, large language model (LLM), and vision-language model (VLM) inference pipelines.

• Develop and refine model infrastructure, which includes vision model integration, LLM orchestration, agent workflows, MLflow registry, and evaluation harnesses.

• Participate in architectural decision-making and create design documentation.

• Elevate engineering standards through thorough code reviews.

• Disseminate knowledge and mentor fellow team members.

• Collaborate with product and engineering colleagues to define work scope and assess build-versus-buy alternatives.

• Translate customer requirements into dependable software solutions.

• Regularly write and deploy production-quality code.

• Diagnose issues and engage in incident response activities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in developing production software.

• Proficient in Rails or Python applications, production computer vision pipelines, LLM/agent systems, or data-intensive B2B SaaS.

• Practical experience with AWS and/or GCP.

• Familiarity with PostgreSQL.

• Experience with background job or messaging systems such as Sidekiq or RabbitMQ.

• Knowledge of contemporary deployment practices.

• Experience in owning features or services from technical design to deployment and ongoing maintenance.

• Strong skills in coding, debugging, and conducting code reviews.

• Recent experience in shipping production code.

• Familiarity with SRE and DevOps methodologies, including CI/CD, Kubernetes, or Helm.

• Ability to work collaboratively with dedicated SRE teammates.

• Authorization to work lawfully in the United States is required in the application.

• Bonus: Experience in construction, AEC, or vertical-SaaS; or experience facilitating product scaling at a growing startup.
