Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and create high-quality, scalable software solutions that enhance Amplify’s learning platform.

• Build back-end systems, including automated testing and associated tools.

• Evaluate code from fellow engineers, employing a pragmatic and meticulous approach to address complex challenges.

• Work alongside DevOps to develop, manage, and oversee deployment processes and infrastructure.

• Ensure that software fulfills the requirements of students and operates reliably in actual classroom settings, incorporating proactive testing and system monitoring.

• Engage in a collaborative engineering culture through code reviews and educational sessions that advocate for best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• BS/MS in Computer Science or an equivalent degree or training.

• Over 3 years of professional experience in software development.

• Familiarity with authentication systems and identity protocols such as SAML and OIDC.

• Knowledge of sound software design principles and contemporary software engineering methodologies.

• Experience in server-side development.

• Proficiency with SQL database technologies.

• Experience in deploying production systems in cloud environments.

• Proven ability to solve problems and navigate complex systems and extensive codebases.

• Experience in a fast-paced, collaborative setting and commitment to self-directed learning.

• Capability to clearly communicate technical concepts both verbally and in written form.

• A strong interest in working on educational products and a commitment to making them more equitable and accessible.
