Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design, create, and sustain robust backend applications utilizing Java, Spring Boot, and Hibernate.

• Construct and integrate RESTful APIs and event-driven services to facilitate communication between microservices and AI agents.

• Deploy and oversee applications on AWS Cloud infrastructure.

• Ensure high standards of code quality, optimize performance, and adhere to industry best practices.

• Design and develop autonomous AI agent workflows that plan and execute multi-step tasks, invoke tools, and manage exceptions.

• Create agent orchestration patterns that encompass agent handovers, state persistence, retry logic, and fallback strategies.

• Integrate foundation model APIs for LLM-powered reasoning, decision-making, and natural language comprehension.

• Develop interfaces for tool usage and function calling for databases, APIs, document stores, and external services.

• Implement human-in-the-loop patterns featuring confidence thresholds, escalation triggers, and approval workflows.

• Construct event-driven agent architectures utilizing SQS/SNS, EventBridge, or Kafka.

• Collaborate effectively with product, data science, and QA teams.

• Engage in prompt engineering, agent behavior tuning, and accuracy assessment.

• Contribute to AI-assisted development workflows employing Kiro, Copilot, or comparable AI IDEs.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2–4 years of professional experience in backend/full-stack development.

• Strong expertise in Node.js, Java (11+), Spring Boot, and Hibernate/JPA.

• Practical experience in designing and integrating RESTful APIs and webhook-based integrations.

• Familiarity with AWS services, including EC2, S3, Lambda, SQS/SNS, EventBridge, API Gateway, and Cognito.

• Experience in building or integrating autonomous AI agent systems, focusing on multi-step workflows, tool-use patterns, agent orchestration, and state management.

• Hands-on experience with LLM APIs such as AWS Bedrock, OpenAI, or Anthropic, including prompt engineering, function calling, and structured output parsing.

• Proficient in relational databases like PostgreSQL and MySQL, covering schema design and query optimization.

• Understanding of event-driven and microservices architecture patterns.

• Outstanding analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
