Senior Software Engineer – Apps Team

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Take full ownership of the end-to-end delivery process for features, from design all the way through deployment and ongoing support.

• Develop scalable and maintainable systems that adapt to the changing needs of the product.

• Collaborate closely with the product team to clarify requirements and provide practical solutions.

• Enhance reliability and code quality by employing robust engineering practices.

• Engage in on-call rotations and play a key role in maintaining operational excellence.

• Assist in scaling CertifyOS’s core platform and expedite product delivery.

• Create high-quality systems that influence the architecture while improving reliability and performance across various applications.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of experience in building and maintaining production-grade systems.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and comfort with uncertainty.

• Familiarity with AI tools, including Cursor, Claude Code, and MCP servers.

• Capability to independently define solutions and contribute to architectural designs.

• Proven experience in delivering high-quality software in fast-paced environments.

• Strong engineering fundamentals, covering aspects such as testing, clean code, and maintainability.

• Experience in enhancing system performance and reliability.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.

• Proficient in code review processes and committed to raising engineering standards.

• Readiness to participate in on-call support and incident response activities.

• Background in handling sensitive data and employing security best practices, including PII.

• Experience with microservices or distributed systems architectures.

• Proven track record in building data-intensive or large-scale platforms.

• Knowledge of healthcare, compliance, or regulated environments.

• Experience with Master Data Management (MDM) or entity resolution systems.

• Expertise in reducing technical debt through iterative refactoring efforts.

• Ability to enhance developer productivity through CI/CD practices and tooling.
