Senior Software Development Engineer in Test, SDET

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take full ownership of the test automation roadmap from start to finish

• Establish strategy, prioritize tasks, and lead execution within the team

• Collaborate with QA and engineering teams to determine what to automate, the methods to use, and the timing

• Enhance the existing Playwright/JavaScript framework from a foundational level to enterprise-grade

• Broaden automation coverage into systems lacking QA support and strengthen regression coverage across Salesforce, MuleSoft, D365 Power Apps, D365 F&O, DCR, and Tagetik

• Develop design and review processes, including standards for test design, norms for code review, and guidelines for framework contributions

• Create infrastructure for rapid test execution, clear reporting, parallel execution, smart retries, and actionable dashboards

• Design and deploy AI agents for performance testing, regression analysis, and defect triage utilizing Cursor AI

• Collaborate with the AI platform team to implement QA agents on the organization’s AI framework

• Ensure QA agents are discoverable, governed, and reusable across different functions

• Identify quality gaps, broaden automation scope, and minimize manual effort

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven track record in designing and scaling test automation frameworks in a production environment

• Extensive hands-on experience with Playwright and modern JavaScript/TypeScript

• Experience in automating complex enterprise SaaS solutions, particularly Salesforce, MuleSoft, D365 Power Apps, and/or F&O

• Practical experience working with LLMs and AI coding assistants, especially Cursor

• Strong understanding of API testing, contract testing, and integration testing patterns, particularly across layers like MuleSoft

• Capability to define test strategy, coverage objectives, and quality metrics, and to advocate for them to engineering leadership and the business

• Excellent communication skills

• Proven bias for action and ability to work independently in dynamic, fast-paced environments

• Background in insurance, fintech, or other regulated financial services sectors

• Familiarity with insurance principles or a willingness to gain in-depth knowledge

• Strong knowledge of CI/CD processes and reporting/observability for test suites

• Experience in deploying AI agents on an internal AI platform or fabric

• Background in performance testing
