Senior Software Development Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain efficient, reusable, and dependable code for intricate client/server enterprise applications.

• Convert application storyboards and use cases into functional applications.

• Collaborate with team members, various teams, and stakeholders on feature design and product strategy.

• Work alongside Quality Assurance personnel to create test cases and relevant documentation.

• Communicate problems, risks, and issues effectively with peers and management.

• Provide comprehensive documentation for all development work.

• Engage with technical support and potentially customers to troubleshoot and resolve issues.

• Define the scope of assigned projects/tasks and provide accurate time estimates.

• Investigate, troubleshoot, and triage complex technical issues related to code.

• Collect product feedback, implement code fixes, and develop patches.

• Construct, package, sign, and release appliance images and software updates for both on-premises and cloud deployments.

• Deploy and manage cloud infrastructure, including compute, DNS, storage, and key management.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of software development experience.

• Proficient in the entire Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).

• Extensive experience in Unix/Linux environments.

• Proficient in Python and PHP programming languages.

• Familiarity with Laravel or a similar MVC framework.

• Experience in maintaining large legacy codebases.

• Practical experience with AWS, including EC2, Route 53, S3, IAM, and KMS.

• Background in database design and administration.

• Experience with unit testing.

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.

• Strong understanding of modern design patterns.

• Experience with the complete lifecycle of development, including product release within an agile framework.

• Good understanding of network security and encryption principles.

• Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

• Experience working on an Agile team in a continuous integration and development environment.
