
Senior Software Developer – .NET Core, Azure Cloud Solution

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as a technical expert for the DMC custom-built application suite, which consists of around 10 applications, 150 UI screens, and over 170,000 lines of C# code.
• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain applications utilizing ASP.NET Core, C#, legacy .NET Framework v4.8, JavaScript, CSS, and Kendo UI.
• Create, build, and sustain scalable and secure cloud infrastructure within Microsoft Azure, including Databricks and Synapse, API Management, Azure Functions, Azure App Services, Azure Blob Storage, and Azure Monitor.
• Oversee the migration from SSRS to Power BI using existing Power BI Service licenses, deployed Report Server, gateway, and assigned workspace.
• Spearhead the modernization from WebForms to ASP.NET Core within the VAEC framework.
• Design and manage complex relational SQL Server databases; create and modify database objects through advanced T-SQL.
• Maintain data dictionaries, metadata documentation, and ensure report-to-data-source traceability.
• Uphold secure coding practices and assist with ATO vulnerability remediation, including legacy code, third-party, and open-source component issues, as well as configuration findings.
• Provide technical direction, architectural leadership, and code reviews for junior developers.
• Ensure all products comply with Section 508, ADA, and WCAG 2.0 Level A and AA requirements.
• Keep ATO artifacts updated, including SSP updates, control narratives, POA&M tracking, and scan evidence.
• Engage in regular technical working sessions and impromptu meetings with OAA leadership and VA stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline. No equivalent qualifications or substitutions for the degree requirement will be considered.
• A minimum of eight (8) years of experience in software development.
• Extensive experience with Azure Cloud Solutions, particularly in Databricks and Synapse, API Management, Azure Functions, Azure App Services, Azure Blob Storage, and Azure Monitor.
• Proven hands-on expertise in ASP.NET Core, C#, T-SQL, Power BI, and Kendo UI.
• Demonstrated experience in leading software development projects and providing technical guidance (required).
• Strong communication abilities with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Must have continuously resided in the United States for the last 36 months.
