This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Create and execute intricate agentic subsystems for tool and capability composition, agent orchestration, context retention, and retrieval (RAG).
• Take full ownership of subsystems from requirements gathering and design to implementation, evaluation, deployment, and ongoing support.
• Develop and manage assessments of AI behavior, focusing on quality, safety, latency, and cost-effectiveness.
• Integrate trust into agentic workflows through human-in-the-loop review checkpoints, traceability, reversibility, and confidence signaling mechanisms.
• Evaluate trade-offs among model selection, prompting/orchestration, and system architecture.
• Contribute to the architecture of the agentic platform and facilitate cross-product integrations.
• Lead root-cause analysis for production challenges and enhance quality through code reviews, automated testing, and CI/CD practices.
• Collaborate with Product, UX, QA, and Visualization Solutions teams to transform customer workflows into technical implementations.
• Guide and mentor junior developers.
• Develop agentic AI functionalities for Autodesk’s 2D/3D visualization products and Viewer MCP platform.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science / Computer Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
• Over 5 years of experience delivering production-grade software.
• Strong expertise in TypeScript/JavaScript and contemporary web technologies, particularly React.
• Proven experience in creating AI/ML-driven features, including LLMs, agents, orchestration, RAG systems, or similar applications in a production environment.
• Practical ML knowledge in prompt/agent design, retrieval, and assessing model/agent performance.
• Comprehensive understanding of distributed systems, APIs, and service-oriented architectures.
• Practical experience with automated testing, CI/CD processes, and Git workflows.
• Proficient communication skills in English.
• Experience working in Agile settings.
• Preferred: knowledge of Model Context Protocol (MCP), agent frameworks, or composable tool/capability architectures.
• Preferred: familiarity with vector stores, embeddings, and production-quality RAG implementations.
• Preferred: experience with Node.js and cloud-native architectures such as AWS and Docker, along with observability tools.
• Preferred: experience contributing to platform-level or cross-team technical projects.
• Preferred: understanding of 2D/3D visualization, CAD/BIM, or graphics technologies like WebGL/WebGPU.
