Senior Software Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver comprehensive full stack development and documentation support for the FAA’s NAS Defense Program.

• Engage in discussions with team members and stakeholders, offering insightful recommendations.

• Design UI wireframes for new software features.

• Create and revise detailed application documentation.

• Participate in team coding activities, including paired programming, code reviews, and approvals of pull requests.

• Engage in discussions for functional and technical design analysis.

• Assist in technical and maintenance tasks, including security assessments and addressing deficiencies.

• Troubleshoot technical problems impacting system performance.

• Contribute to architecture development and recommendations for system modernization.

• Collect requirements and assist with testing processes.

• Provide support in configuration management, software release management, automated pipeline, and containerization.

• Produce system documentation, including design documents, software architecture documentation, and diagrams.

• Develop and maintain unit and integration tests.

• Adapt responsibilities over time to align with team and organizational objectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field.

• At least eight (8) years of relevant professional experience.

• Proficient in developing web applications using React/Angular/Node.js along with Oracle/Postgres.

• Knowledgeable in Linux-based operating systems.

• Experience in developing and supporting docker-based web applications.

• Familiar with Atlassian tools such as JIRA, Bitbucket, or Confluence.

• Must possess the capability to obtain and maintain a Secret level security clearance.

• Experience with Kafka is preferred.

• Familiarity with GIS technologies, including Esri, ArcGIS, Mapbox, and GeoServer is preferred.

• Knowledge of Go/GoLang programming language is preferred.

• Experience in implementing CI/CD systems is preferred.

• Proficient in React and Node is preferred.

• Experience with Python is preferred.

• Knowledge of Oracle and PostgreSQL is preferred.

• Experience in creating UI designs and wireframe diagrams is preferred.

• Ability to effectively communicate with clients and fulfill all responsibilities as outlined in the contract.

• Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, and Outlook.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a dynamic development environment.

• Must be eligible to work in the United States via E-Verify.
