Senior Software Developer, AI Networking

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Designing and implementing AI networking communication frameworks and applications that operate on some of the largest supercomputers and data centers globally.

• Creating production tools and benchmarks utilized by various teams both within and outside of NVIDIA.

• Empowering new AI models within our benchmarking infrastructure and providing insights through comprehensive analysis of large-scale workloads spanning hardware and software stacks.

• Developing automation systems, including large-scale parameter searches to pinpoint optimal configurations across intricate systems.

• Working in close collaboration with networking and hardware teams to co-create new features and software interfaces within a dynamic and rapidly changing environment.

⛳️ Requirements

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.

• Over 5 years of relevant experience.

• Professional experience in Python development.

• Strong expertise in Linux and a passion for extensive command-line work.

• Capability to navigate a broad and evolving technology stack, with a keen desire to learn—ranging from hardware and networking to large-scale AI systems operating across entire clusters.

• Knowledge and/or experience with the modern AI ecosystem, including PyTorch, LLMs, inference, and training.

• Familiarity with cluster orchestration systems such as Slurm or Kubernetes.

• Understanding of MPI, HPC, InfiniBand, Ethernet, and Networking.

• Experience in performance optimization techniques.
