This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop, schedule, and release engaging content daily across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and Threads, including graphics, storytelling carousels, short-form videos, and copy, some utilizing templates while others are crafted personally or by team members.
• Spot trends, fundraising opportunities, and cultural moments that warrant quick action, providing expert recommendations on how to respond promptly.
• Act as the team representative during crisis situations (e.g., natural disasters like hurricanes or floods), coordinating with various teams to highlight relief resources and credible fundraisers.
• Manage a high-volume, cross-platform content initiative focused on promoting the right fundraisers at the right times, guided by a daily flagging workflow and contributions from several stakeholders.
• Formulate and take ownership of strategy: establish and achieve growth objectives, create a roadmap for testing and experiments (including formats, timing, link placement, and hooks), and leverage user data to guide decisions.
• Assist in overseeing the social editorial calendar, balancing pre-planned campaigns, spontaneous opportunities, fundraising activities, and cross-functional priorities across various channels.
• Apply strong editorial judgment concerning sensitive content: many narratives involve themes of tragedy, illness, and loss, and knowing what to publish, how to present it, and when to hold back is fundamental to the role.
• Collaborate closely with video producer(s) on short-form video content.
• Extract stories worth amplifying and customer issues to address from comments and DMs on our owned channels.
• Utilize AI tools (such as Claude, ChatGPT, and our internal automation systems) for drafting, analysis, and enhancing workflow efficiency — while also pushing the boundaries of what's achievable.
• Take charge of weekly and monthly channel reporting; convert performance metrics into clear, actionable insights.
• Work collaboratively with the Senior Social & Community Manager on Pro, as well as other departments including Communications, Brand, Creators, Product, and Customer Support, on fundraisers, significant events, and customer-centric initiatives.
• 5-7 years of hands-on experience managing social channels for medium to large consumer and/or B2B brands, media organizations, or nonprofits — with a proven track record of creating, scheduling, and publishing content at scale, along with demonstrable results.
• A strategic mindset combined with practical skills: you conceptualize in terms of funnels, benchmarks, and experiments, rather than merely focusing on individual posts.
• A history of presenting innovative ideas, audacious creative thinking, and new strategies that enhance audience growth and engagement.
• You consider yourself highly online, keeping abreast of current trends, cultural discussions, memes, and the overall news cycle. You excel in fast-moving environments.
• Proficient in short-form video creation — capable of producing, editing, and captioning content natively for TikTok, Reels, and YouTube Shorts without relying on a production team.
• Proven experience with AI tools: you actively incorporate tools like Claude and ChatGPT into your daily workflow and are genuinely enthusiastic about their potential.
• You bring enthusiasm, curiosity, and a leadership attitude — making connections across trends, communities, platforms, and business objectives to discover new growth opportunities.
• Exceptional judgment when handling sensitive topics — experience dealing with breaking news, tragedy, or high-empathy content environments. You may even have a background in a newsroom setting.
• A sharp, quick, platform-specific copywriting style.
• Familiarity with social management and analytics tools (e.g., Sprout Social, Meta Business Suite, and native platform analytics).
• Self-motivated: you manage your channels like an owner and communicate proactively within a remote team.
• Competitive Benefits: Enjoy attractive compensation and comprehensive healthcare coverage.
• Holistic Support: Benefit from financial assistance for aspects like hybrid work and family planning, along with generous parental leave, flexible time-off policies, and mental health resources to promote your overall well-being.
• Growth Opportunities: Engage in learning, development, and recognition initiatives designed to help you thrive and advance in your career.
• Commitment to DEI: Participate in diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts through ongoing initiatives and employee resource groups.
• Community Engagement: Contribute positively through our volunteering program.
