This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Vietnam.
• Collaborate with suppliers to establish baseline and enhance SMT processes aimed at improving product quality, reliability, and manufacturability.
• Develop and enforce Critical to Quality process control monitors.
• Assess supplier manufacturing limits and critical process CpKs.
• Propel advancements in product quality and reliability.
• Analyze new product designs and collaborate with contract manufacturers for DFx and process characterization.
• Ensure readiness for mass production launches.
• Provide constructive feedback to NVIDIA design teams to optimize PCBA DFx.
• Track SMT process KPI data during NPI and mass production builds.
• Guide suppliers towards corrective actions and six sigma quality objectives.
• Plan and implement R&D programs and DOE’s to fulfill product performance and customer reliability expectations.
• Partner with contract manufacturers and ODMs to introduce new materials and technologies.
• Review and enhance manufacturing practices and processes at both assembly and system levels.
• Oversee NVIDIA’s local and regional EMS supply SMT process activities and quality standards in Vietnam and the Southeast Asia region.
• BS/MS degree or equivalent experience in Materials Sciences or Chemistry.
• Over 5 years of experience in developing and utilizing PCBA materials and SMTA manufacturing processes at both board assembly and system levels.
• Extensive knowledge of PCBA technologies and manufacturing practices.
• Strong background in quality management and supplier relations.
• Demonstrated expertise with complex PCB assemblies, materials, and signal integrity issues.
• Experience with high-speed signal designs of 25 GBPS and above.
• Experience in automotive, aerospace, and/or military PCBA/SMT and related material technologies is advantageous.
• Ability to effectively communicate and work with Hardware, Signal Integrity, and Reliability Engineering teams, both domestically and offshore.
• Capacity to build strong relationships with engineering teams.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal oversight.
• Proficient in English and Mandarin, both oral and written communication skills.
• Willingness to travel within the Asia region.
• In-depth understanding of industry specifications and requirements is a significant advantage.
• Strong problem-solving, conflict-resolution, and influencing skills.
• Practical and managerial experience with SMTA processes in a manufacturing setting.
