Senior Site Reliability Engineer, Linux Performance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Responsible for the development, testing, and distribution of modifications to the automation, software, services, and tools managed by the VHP team.

• Design and implement improvements to the VHP observability infrastructure to proactively identify and resolve issues before they affect our customers.

• Demonstrate comfort in adapting to new tools, coding practices, and environments while automating feasible tasks.

• Develop supporting tools using Ansible or Profiling to assist in performance investigations.

• Cultivate subject matter expertise across various components of our Compute environment.

• Collaborate with support, operations, and engineering teams to analyze and troubleshoot complex issues.

• Participate in on-call rotations, overseeing the restoration and resolution of service-impacting incidents.

⛳️ Requirements

• Have expert-level experience with Linux internals, system administration, and a comprehensive understanding of the underlying hardware.

• Hold advanced-level experience with the Linux kernel, operating system, and optimization of their configurations for KVM/QEMU virtualization.

• Possess advanced-level experience in designing, developing, and deploying software and infrastructure at scale.

• Have advanced experience in a Development or SRE role, preferably with large-scale distributed systems.

• Familiarity with tools such as SaltStack, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or Kubernetes for managing infrastructure at scale.

• Hold relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
