Senior Site Reliability Engineer – Core Linux Platforms

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Designing, testing, and disseminating modifications to software, services, and tools.

• Cultivating subject matter expertise in VHP components.

• Establishing CI/CD pipelines to foster a robust and sustainable infrastructure platform supply chain for our swiftly expanding Akamai Cloud fleet.

• Proficient in navigating new tools, codes, and environments, as well as automating feasible processes.

• Collaborating with our support, operations, and engineering teams to resolve intricate issues.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrate expert-level knowledge in Linux internals, system administration, and a comprehensive understanding of the hardware foundation.

• Showcase advanced experience with the Linux kernel, operating system, and the optimization of configurations for KVM/QEMU virtualization.

• Have advanced experience in designing, developing, and deploying software and infrastructure at scale.

• Hold advanced experience in a Development or SRE role, ideally within large-scale distributed systems.

• Skilled in writing, modifying, and debugging Shell scripts and Python code.

• Familiarity with tools such as SaltStack, Ansible, Kubernetes, Chef, or Puppet for managing infrastructure at scale.

• Possess excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

• Hold relevant experience along with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
