Senior ServiceNow Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Costa Rica.

📋 Description

• Act as the primary authority for a complex, multi-module ServiceNow platform.

• Take charge of the platform's technical direction, guiding stakeholders on best practices while converting business requirements into scalable, high-quality solutions.

• Participate in agile delivery cycles, contributing to sprint planning, backlog refinement, and ensuring consistent quality in iterative deliverables.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across different time zones, ensuring clear communication and shared accountability for results.

• Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including design decisions, configuration specifications, and runbooks, as an essential standard of delivery.

• Conduct impact analyses prior to all changes and uphold change management practices across environments.

• Assist in platform upgrades, patch cycles, and health assessments with a proactive and structured methodology.

• Continuously enhance platform performance, maintainability, and user experience.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

• Over 5 years of practical experience in ServiceNow consulting, development, and administration within professional client or enterprise settings.

• Extensive knowledge of ServiceNow architecture, including tables, forms, data relationships, inheritance, and application scoping.

• Proficient in JavaScript, applied across Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, and API integrations.

• Skills in front-end development for Service Portal, including HTML, CSS, and AngularJS widget development.

• Solid understanding of CMDB data models, CI relationships, IRE, and Discovery fundamentals.

• Experience in managing update sets, cloning pipelines, and strategies for multi-instance environments.
