Senior SEO Strategist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the SEO Product Vision.

• Spearhead the definition and enhancement of Logical’s SEO product, emphasizing forward-looking capabilities such as AI impact, multimodal search, schema, and visibility beyond Google (including LLMs, Reddit, YouTube, etc.).

• Develop our strategic playbook for organic visibility during a time of declining CTRs and fragmented search behaviors.

• Lead Technical SEO Implementation: Perform and supervise thorough technical SEO audits, addressing aspects like crawl efficiency, indexation, Core Web Vitals, structured data, and internationalization. Collaborate with web developers to execute effective solutions and ensure that websites meet technical performance standards.

• Serve as the strategic lead on high-value SEO accounts, managing outcome-driven roadmap development and prioritization, which includes integrating technical SEO initiatives that directly support roadmap goals and measurable business results.

• Act as an advisor to executives on the business impact of SEO, with the capability to link organic performance to top-line KPIs.

• Work alongside the Insight team to establish visibility auditing frameworks and reporting loops specific to LLMs.

• Collaborate with the Creative team to ensure alignment on content briefs, creative testing, and schema-driven page design.

• Partner with Paid Media leadership to pinpoint shared signals between SEO and SEM.

• Supervise contractor assistance for specific projects and manage the quality and timeliness of deliverables.

• Keep abreast of the advancements in AI-driven search and lead internal training on AI’s influence on search visibility.

• Provide insights on the role of generative content, synthetic data, and changes in platforms (SGE, Perplexity, ChatGPT, etc.).

• Guide the SEO team on the responsible use of AI tools in content ideation, quality assurance, and auditing.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of practical SEO experience, including technical SEO, audits, and cross-functional SEO strategy.

• Proven experience in leading SEO strategy for mid-to-large brands across B2B or B2C sectors.

• A robust understanding of how AI and large language models are transforming user behavior and creating organic opportunities.

• Extensive knowledge in technical SEO with a track record of designing and executing audits, interpreting diagnostics, and guiding implementation teams to resolution.

• Familiarity with tools such as SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, Looker Studio, and emerging AI platforms (e.g., Perplexity, GPT, Claude).

• Comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders and fostering organization-wide alignment on organic strategy.

• A natural collaborator across channel, strategy, and execution levels.

• Bonus: Experience with structured data (schema), content design systems, or enterprise SEO platforms.
