
Senior Sediment Remediation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +8 more states.
• Serve as an engineer on sediment remediation and waterfront projects across the country, participating in site investigations, feasibility studies, design, and construction phases.
• Oversee, guide, and create field sampling plans, remedial investigation reports, feasibility studies, pre-design investigations, and remedial designs.
• Assess contamination, formulate conceptual site models, evaluate remediation technologies, and prepare calculations, cost estimates, reports, and design drawings.
• Lead the development of client-ready documents and designs, ensuring senior-level review for technical accuracy and quality.
• Efficiently manage and lead multidisciplinary teams, including project scopes, schedules, budgets, and communications with internal teams, clients, and regulatory agencies.
• Provide mentorship and training to junior engineers and scientists.
• Function as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on sediment investigation or remediation projects.
• Assist in business development efforts, which include client and regulatory meetings as well as proposal preparation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in the sediment field.
• Professional Engineer license (preferred).
• Master’s degree in Engineering or a related field (preferred).
• Proficiency in environmental dredging, dredged material management, sediment capping, in situ treatment or stabilization of sediments, soft sediment/geotechnical aspects of sediment remediation, groundwater-surface water interaction, hydrodynamic modeling, or resiliency (preferred).
