Senior Security Specialist – Penetration Testing

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Perform comprehensive penetration testing on applications, infrastructure, and cloud environments.

• Assume complete responsibility for assigned pentesting projects from start to finish, delivering results with minimal supervision.

• Create detailed technical scoping documents and track assessment metadata effectively.

• Clearly document findings and provide actionable remediation recommendations.

• Work collaboratively with application teams to define, execute, and report on security assessments.

• Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of testing methodologies, tools, and automation processes.

• Keep abreast of emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and offensive security strategies.

• Engage in research and development initiatives as directed by leadership.

• Foster knowledge sharing and mentorship within the team.

• Design and maintain custom tools, scripts, and exploits to facilitate testing activities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated hands-on experience in penetration testing of Web Applications, APIs, Thick Clients, and common infrastructures (Active Directory, Cloud, and cloud-native environments).

• Expertise in tools such as Burp Suite, common command-line utilities, and the capability to write custom scripts as necessary.

• Background in automating pentesting procedures.

• Strong comprehension of application security, network protocols, and operating systems.

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).

• Ability to produce clear, technical reports and convey findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Experience in large, intricate enterprise environments.

• Proficient communication skills in English, both written and oral.

• Relevant certifications and active participation in the security community are advantageous.

• Experience in Threat Modelling is a plus.
