Cyber Security Engineer I – Blue Team

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Oversee SIEM dashboards, EDR, and security tools to manage Level 1 alerts.

• Confirm the precision of security alerts and execute initial containment measures, such as endpoint isolation and IP blocking.

• Record incidents and escalate intricate cases to Level N2/N3 support.

• Carry out threat modeling to develop new detection rules tailored to client business requirements.

• Engage in ongoing Level 1 monitoring of the environment and infrastructure.

• Conduct initial triage of security alerts and proactively isolate known threats.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree completed or currently pursuing in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Networking, or a related discipline.

• Strong comprehension of Computer Networks including TCP/IP, client-server architecture, DNS, HTTP/S, and communication ports.

• Fundamental knowledge of Information Security principles such as the CIA triad, OWASP Top 10, types of malware, and phishing.

• Experience in reading and interpreting logs, including Event Viewer and Syslog.

• Basic log analysis skills with Windows Event Logs and Syslog.

• Networking expertise encompassing the OSI model, TCP/IP, DNS, and basic usage of Wireshark.

• Experience or understanding of operating EDR and antivirus solutions.

• Capability to perform phishing triage and analyze email headers.
