Staff AI Security Scientist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead the research agenda for autonomous agentic AI systems across various cybersecurity applications.

• Establish scientific direction and define the research priorities of the team.

• Conduct experiments, analyze results, and tackle challenging issues in collaboration with the team.

• Spearhead original research focused on efficient models for security workflows, which includes post-training, reward modeling, and data curation.

• Oversee experimental initiatives addressing complex research challenges.

• Create evaluation, verification, and validation methodologies for models, datasets, agent designs, and comprehensive systems.

• Develop benchmarks, adversarial evaluation frameworks, and measurement practices.

• Collaborate with security researchers, threat intelligence experts, detection engineering teams, and product developers.

• Define abstractions for agent capabilities and tools that are grounded in security operations.

• Advance the science of agent design, focusing on harnesses, scaffolding, planning, memory, tool utilization, and multi-step reasoning.

• Contribute innovative techniques through publications and standards.

• Mentor and nurture researchers within the security domain.

⛳️ Requirements

• MS or PhD in computer science, computer engineering, or a related quantitative discipline.

• 10+ years of experience in data science, ML/DL, or AI with a focus on large-scale data challenges.

• Practical expertise in contemporary LLM post-training methodologies.

• Proven research contributions or experience in the development of agentic systems.

• Strong evaluation skills, including the ability to design, extend, or validate methodologies.

• Leadership approach that emphasizes hands-on involvement at all levels.

• Bonus: Practical experience in offensive security, detection engineering, incident response, or applied threat intelligence research.

• Bonus: Experience in designing RL environments and synthetic data pipelines for agent optimization.
