This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Design and build robust, scalable custom security tools, middleware, and automation scripts that integrate isolated security platforms.
• Utilize REST, GraphQL, and Webhooks to establish tool-agnostic data flows for automated enforcement and telemetry sharing.
• Assess vendor capability limitations and develop custom software solutions to bridge security gaps.
• Create and design user-friendly interfaces and dashboards for internal security tools.
• Develop and sustain automated deployment pipelines, SOAR incident response playbooks, and continuous monitoring workflows.
• Collect requirements from internal stakeholders and convert security policies into automated, code-driven solutions.
• Ensure that custom development complies with information security, secure coding practices, SSDLC, and regulatory standards including ISO, NIST, and SOX.
• Work collaboratively with Security Operations, IT, and Engineering teams as a technical ambassador for the Cyber organization.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in software engineering, security automation, or advanced DevOps, focusing on internal tools or cybersecurity integrations.
• Experience in full-stack development.
• Proficiency in modern frontend frameworks such as React, Vue, or Angular.
• Expert-level skills in Python, Go, or Node.js.
• Practical experience with complex APIs, OAuth/OIDC authentication flows, webhooks, and tool-agnostic integration layers.
• Experience in hosting custom tools in cloud environments, preferably AWS.
• Familiarity with serverless architectures like Lambda or containerization using Docker/Kubernetes.
• Strong understanding of enterprise security principles, including IAM, Zero Trust, and Endpoint/Mobile Security (MAM/MDM).
• Proven expertise in CI/CD release automation using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Experience in secure system debugging.
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills, including the ability to influence engineers who are not direct reports.
