This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Conduct research on real-world exploits across various types of vulnerabilities.
• Establish tracking systems that facilitate cross-team monitoring of adversaries based on observed exploitation behaviors.
• Enhance and sustain detection capabilities for exploits, malicious payloads, and attack vectors.
• Discover new data sources to improve visibility into exploit threats.
• Reverse engineer significant exploits and maintain an in-depth understanding of their functionalities.
• Create automation tools that extend both static and dynamic analysis frameworks.
• Develop a classification framework that aids in attributing intrusion activities.
• Provide technical expertise to support active mitigation strategies.
• Generate host-based and network-based signatures for extensive hunting, detection, and prevention efforts.
• Produce threat intelligence reports that include actionable guidance for mitigation and detection.
• Present complex technical analysis findings to diverse audiences.
• Work collaboratively across teams on tracking activities, adversaries, campaigns, and developing exploit mitigation strategies and products.
• Conduct customer briefings through various channels, including phone, video conferencing, webcasts, in-person sessions, or industry events.
• Expertise in exploitation methods typically encountered in userspace and kernel-level vulnerability exploits.
• Familiarity with common network service exploitation techniques.
• Strong understanding of at least two operating system platforms, including Microsoft Windows.
• Awareness of standard web-based exploitation vectors.
• In-depth knowledge of reverse engineering tools, such as disassemblers, decompilers, and debuggers.
• Experience in malware unpacking and reconstructing code logic.
• Proficiency in programming and scripting languages, especially Python.
• Capacity to effectively utilize Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI-assisted tools while independently validating results.
• Demonstrated experience using AI technologies to improve decision-making, workflows, efficiency, and business results.
• Ability to articulate complex technical and non-technical concepts in both verbal and visual formats.
• Exceptional writing abilities.
• A collaborative mindset with strong teamwork skills.
• MA/MS or equivalent experience in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Experience in attribution and intelligence analysis is preferred.
• Background in intelligence writing is preferred.
• Experience in writing Snort and YARA signatures is preferred.
