This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.
• Enhance product capabilities by incorporating an offensive practitioner's insights into Censys's scanning, fingerprinting, and attack surface data.
• Perform original research to explore new attack methodologies.
• Publish influential work through research reports and technical blogs.
• Collaborate effectively with Engineering and Product teams to convert research findings into innovative features.
• Spearhead agentic AI threat research by constructing, implementing, and assessing AI frameworks.
• Monitor adversary infrastructure utilizing red team tradecraft expertise.
• Guide and educate fellow researchers and engineers on offensive strategies.
• Over 5 years of practical experience in penetration testing, red teaming, or adversary emulation within enterprise, cloud, or Internet-facing environments.
• Proven ability to autonomously identify and analyze vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, or exploitation methods.
• Solid understanding of network protocols, service fingerprinting, and concepts related to Internet-scale scanning.
• Practical experience with agentic systems focused on offensive security.
• Proficient in scripting or programming (Python, Go, or equivalent) for developing tools, automating testing processes, or analyzing extensive datasets.
• Knowledge of red team frameworks and tradecraft.
• Comfortable working with large-scale Internet scanning data or a keen interest in acquiring this skill.
