This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee and manage all required employee training for site clearance.

• Conduct internal audits as necessary.

• Collaborate with Cyber Engineering to create a System Security Plan (SSP) for the handling of sensitive materials and hardware from entry to exit.

• Implement site security policies.

• Conduct security assessments to identify requirements that support business expansion.

• Maintain direct accessibility to senior leadership and influence internal policies and procedures.

• Act as the official liaison with Public Services and Procurement Canada's Contract Security Program and Controlled Goods Program.

• Adhere to contract security protocols, including maintaining organizational security clearance, screening personnel, and safeguarding information and assets.

• Collaborate with Sales/Contracts from the bidding phase through to contract award.

• Sponsor subcontractors and seek approval for visits to secure locations.

• Carry out annual audits and inspections of sensitive contracts and keep inspection records up to date.

• Protect classified and sensitive information and assets.

• Assist in maintaining site registrations with the Contract Security Program.

• Serve as a backup to the Company Security Officer and share the responsibility for overseeing security requirements for Government of Canada contracts.

• Ensure that employees, officers, and directors are evaluated and authorized before they inspect, handle, or transfer controlled goods.

• Verify the personal information of temporary workers, international students, and visitors for exemption applications.

• Maintain all site registrations with the Controlled Goods Program.


⛳️ Requirements

• Must be able to obtain a Federal Government of Canada Security Clearance at a minimum level of Secret.

• Must be a Canadian citizen.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in activities related to Federal Government contracts.

• At least 5 years of experience in Industrial Security and/or Controlled Goods.

• This position depends on your Designated Official and Company Security Officer Certification.

• College/University degree or equivalent qualification.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Experience working in a fast-paced team environment.

• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

• Proficient with computers, particularly Windows and Office Products.
