Senior Security Platform Engineer – IC4

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Assist in daily backend integration tasks and policy platform use cases for the client, implementing changes in Golang with MongoDB, Snowflake, and AWS-hosted services.

• Execute designated integrations and platform features from initial definition to delivery under the guidance of the customer tech lead and the Staff Security Platform Engineer (IC5).

• Produce work that meets the client's technical standards by adhering to the code review, testing, and deployment protocols established by the client's team.

• Quickly onboard and start contributing to integration tasks early in the project.

• Promptly communicate progress, risks, and obstacles to the Staff engineer, customer tech lead, and delivery stakeholders.

• Collaborate closely with the delivery team, Staff Security Platform Engineer (IC5), and customer stakeholders from the initial definition phase through to final delivery.

⛳️ Requirements

• Essential, hands-on experience in developing backend services and integrations using Golang.

• Fundamental experience with MongoDB as an application data store, encompassing data modeling and query design.

• Essential experience with Snowflake, including data loading and querying from backend systems.

• Fundamental experience in building and operating services on AWS.

• Experience in establishing and maintaining integrations between backend systems and supporting platform use cases alongside a customer engineering team.

• Capability to take well-defined tasks from a tech lead, deliver them with minimal oversight, and engage in code reviews.

• Previous experience working on a security or policy platform team.

• Prior experience as an embedded contractor within a customer engineering team.
