Senior Security Engineer – Corporate Security

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Strengthen and oversee endpoints throughout the organization (macOS and others as necessary): implement baseline hardening, ensure device posture, and optimize EDR coverage and settings.

• Manage corporate identity and access protocols: SSO/MFA, least-privilege access, and maintain identity hygiene across our SaaS ecosystem.

• Secure and standardize our enterprise systems and SaaS environment; promote Zero Trust and device-trust methodologies.

• Develop automation and tools to enforce security configurations and scale controls without hindering team productivity.

• Oversee enterprise security operations, including detection, monitoring, and response for corporate systems.

• Act as the internal security subject matter expert (SME) for corporate systems and workflow decisions, and as an early adopter of our developments.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in establishing and managing corporate security and IT security programs.

• A strong hands-on engineer who delivers results rather than merely managing processes.

• Extensive experience in hardening endpoints and enterprise systems, with a solid understanding of OS internals (macOS, Windows, Linux).

• Proficient in various CorpSec domains: endpoint security, corporate identity, SaaS security, device trust, and Zero Trust.

• Ability to automate the development and maintenance of tools (e.g., Python or similar) - you seek intelligent and secure methods to automate tasks to enhance scalability.

• Capable of adapting between strategic and detailed-focused work as required.

• Comfortable being one of the first security hires in a startup environment - embracing high ownership, ambiguity, and direct impact.

• Bonus Points:

• Experience in establishing a corporate security function or developing enterprise security from the ground up, 0-1.

• Familiarity with compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC 2) and assisting in audits.

• Experience with DLP, secrets management, or corporate network security.

• Regular use of AI coding tools and agentic workflows to accelerate processes and automate aspects of your work.
