Senior Security Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Create, execute, and manage sophisticated security architectures that safeguard organizational systems, data, and infrastructure.

• Collaborate closely with SOC analysts, incident responders, engineering teams, and executive leadership.

• Ensure that the security operations environment is robust, scalable, and in alignment with business and compliance standards.

• Contribute to Agile Defense's national security and critical civilian missions through innovative technology and cybersecurity solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must possess the capability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

• Required certification: one of CISSP-ISSAP/ISSEP, Splunk/SIEM, or AWS/Azure Solutions Architect Certification.

• Bachelor's degree is necessary.

• 5-7 years of experience in designing secure systems and network architectures for federal agencies.

• Familiarity with Zero Trust principles and NIST 800-160 standards.

• Background in cybersecurity architecture for federal systems.

• Extensive experience with zero trust models and cloud migration processes.

• Developed enterprise security reference architectures adopted by various agencies.

• Directs secure system design, integration of controls, and compliance with NIST/FISMA standards.

• Strong expertise in SIEM/SOAR platforms, endpoint security tools, cloud security technologies, and network security controls.

• Proven experience in designing and implementing detection and response architectures.

• Comprehensive understanding of cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Knowledgeable about NIST CSF, ISO 27001, and CIS Controls.

• Ability to articulate complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
