Senior Security Advisor – Offensive and Defensive

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Detect, assess, eliminate, and reduce threats to Desjardins's systems, networks, and applications.

• Simulate threats in line with the ongoing development of offensive strategies and threat actors.

• Create, develop, and implement offensive methodologies and tools.

• Manage risks linked to offensive security tools and methodologies.

• Adhere to strict processes and innovate new procedures to prepare the organization for cyberattacks.

• Guide practitioners on development projects and intricate, strategic initiatives.

• Explain risks using clear language and engage stakeholders to enhance Desjardins's security framework.

• Oversee large-scale security development projects, initiatives, and activities.

• Provide counsel to clients and partners on positioning, planning, solution selection, execution, and monitoring of strategic projects.

• Develop and revise policies, standards, models, methodologies, tools, and programs.

• Conduct strategic surveillance to detect emerging security concerns.

• Identify and evaluate significant issues, diagnose them, and make recommendations.

• Analyze, map, and clarify threats to direct testing activities.

• Represent the unit in front of decision-making bodies.

• Represent Desjardins in agreements with external partners and organizations.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

• At least six years of pertinent experience.

• Other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be evaluated.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in French.

• Proficiency in offensive and defensive security.

• Understanding of security threats, threat actors, and offensive tactics.

• Capability to develop security methodologies, tools, policies, standards, and models.

• Ability to analyze and map threats and diagnose critical security issues.

• Proficiency in advising clients, partners, and decision-making entities on strategic security initiatives.
