Senior SDE – Full Stack, Backend Heavy

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Take the lead in the technical design and execution of backend-intensive features that drive industry solutions.

• Assess architectural trade-offs among APIs, data models, integrations, and event-driven architectures.

• Develop scalable APIs and business logic utilizing Node.js/NestJS alongside Firestore, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, and Redis.

• Leverage GCP tools such as Cloud Tasks, Cloud Scheduler, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Functions to create event-driven infrastructure.

• Establish integrations with industry record systems, including synchronization, webhooks, and error recovery.

• Take ownership of technical initiatives and contribute to reusable, configurable industry models, templates, and automation packages.

• Manage the complete development lifecycle from API design and data modeling to testing, deployment, and maintenance.

• Collaborate with core platform and application teams on extension points.

• Assist in fulfilling industry-specific data privacy, consent, and audit trail requirements.

• Guide engineers through code reviews, design discussions, and provide technical mentorship.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of software engineering experience with a strong emphasis on backend systems and API design.

• Profound knowledge of Node.js/NestJS, TypeScript, and the fundamentals of distributed systems.

• Experience with scaling both SQL and NoSQL databases.

• Proficient in working end-to-end across the stack, particularly in managing backend complexities and integrating with UI components.

• Strong understanding of asynchronous workflows, queues, background jobs, webhooks, and system state transitions.

• Experience in integrating with third-party APIs, including authentication flows, rate limits, data mapping, and synchronization reliability.

• Familiarity with GCP services or a willingness to engage with them hands-on.

• An openness to utilizing AI tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, and Claude Code.

• Excellent debugging and system design capabilities.

• Ability to navigate technical ambiguity, foresee edge cases and downstream effects, and make practical architectural choices.

• A genuine curiosity about various industries and a comfort level in learning from non-technical domain experts.
