This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom, +3 more countries.
• Conducting thorough evaluations of submissions to ensure compliance with the journal’s standards.
• Fostering an environment that emphasizes collaboration, creativity, and excellence.
• Your efforts will play a crucial role in helping a dedicated team achieve greater success in serving the community.
• Developing international networks and commissioning engaging articles within the journal's scope, including insightful front matter pieces.
• Collaborating closely with the Cell Press editorial team, production and operations staff, along with business development and marketing teams to promote cross-journal initiatives and share effective practices.
• Representing Cell Genomics and Cell Press at conferences and public events, highlighting the journal’s influence and connecting with the wider scientific community.
• Traveling to attend both domestic and international conferences and visiting research institutions to engage with researchers.
• Working together with editorial teams from related Cell Press journals.
• A Ph.D. in any field pertinent to the topics covered by Cell Genomics.
• A minimum of 5 years of editorial experience.
• Capacity to critically analyze various scientific issues.
• A keen interest in interacting with the scientific community.
• Skill in simplifying complex ideas and conveying them effectively.
• Excellent teamwork abilities and a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the capability to juggle multiple priorities to meet overall team objectives.
• Ability to thrive in diverse team environments.
• An interest in trends in science communication and publishing.
