This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +4 more states.
• Oversee daily clinical staffing to guarantee smooth operations across all locations.
• Evaluate productivity metrics and collaborate with Practice Administration to make staffing modifications according to operational needs.
• Implement real-time scheduling updates for unexpected call-ins and shift changes.
• Daily assign providers based on shift type, credentialing status, and surgeon requests while ensuring patient care is prioritized.
• Address anesthesia provider requests from both surgeons and patients.
• Ensure coverage plans are in alignment with surgical block time usage and anticipated case volumes.
• Retrieve OR schedules two weeks in advance to forecast staffing requirements and communicate with relevant sites.
• Recruit and reposition staff as needed to accommodate scheduling demands.
• Assist with requests for shift swaps and days off.
• Develop the monthly schedule for specialty shifts, including assigning on-call shifts for staff.
• Input the hospital call schedule into IKE and disseminate it accordingly.
• Oversee the annual vacation selection process.
• Modify schedules in response to add-on cases, cancellations, or emergencies.
• Communicate daily schedules and updates to scout and anesthesia personnel.
• Create and maintain monthly or quarterly call schedules, encompassing weekends and holidays.
• Ensure fairness and equity in call and weekend assignments.
• Coordinate vacation, CME, and personal time-off requests.
• Anticipate staffing shortages due to vacations, leaves, or open positions.
• Arrange locum or per diem coverage as necessary.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations regarding coverage and call frequency.
• Collaborate with practice administration to assess daily staffing needs.
• Manage shift swaps and coverage requests among providers.
• Verify and confirm provider credentialing for each facility prior to scheduling.
• Maintain and update scheduling software (Spinfusion).
• Track attendance, shift compliance, and hours worked for payroll and productivity purposes.
• Generate reports on staffing utilization, coverage ratios, and scheduling patterns.
• Coordinate onboarding and orientation schedules for new or locum providers.
• Act as the primary contact for scheduling-related inquiries or issues.
• Communicate changes swiftly and professionally to staff and hospital partners.
• Proactively identify and resolve scheduling conflicts.
• Participate in leadership or staffing meetings to review coverage and optimize resource allocation.
• 3-5 years of experience in the healthcare sector with a documented track record of upward mobility.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work autonomously with minimal oversight.
• Capable of collaborating effectively with staff, physicians, and external stakeholders.
• Proficient keyboard skills with knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Must possess a pleasant demeanor and a high tolerance for diverse perspectives and opinions.
• Ability to inspire and motivate a range of personalities within the department.
• Must be proficient in speaking, reading, and writing in English.
• Skilled in gathering, reporting, and analyzing information.
