Senior SAP Technical Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Deliver technical leadership for SAP S/4HANA Brownfield Migration, including implementation, upgrades, migrations, and support projects.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders, functional consultants, architects, and development teams to create and implement scalable SAP solutions.

• Act as the main technical authority for SAP development, integrations, custom enhancements, data migration, and overall technical architecture.

• Supervise onsite and offshore teams, ensuring adherence to SAP best practices, quality standards, and fulfillment of project delivery commitments.

• Oversee technical design, architecture, development, and establish solution standards.

• Convert functional requirements into technical solution designs while ensuring scalability, security, maintainability, and performance.

• Provide guidance to developers, technical consultants, and project teams.

• Manage custom developments, enhancements, reports, interfaces, forms, workflows, conversions, and both SAP and non-SAP integrations.

• Perform code reviews, troubleshoot intricate technical issues, and offer resolution strategies.

• Lead technical conversion activities from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA, including custom code remediation, integration redesign, and technical readiness assessments.

• Collaborate on data extraction, conversion, validation, reconciliation, cutover planning, mock conversions, dress rehearsals, and go-live activities.

• Oversee technical workstreams from project initiation through to deployment and support.

• Create technical estimates, project plans, and resource requirements; track progress, risks, issues, and dependencies.

• Provide updates on technical status and ensure that milestones are met on time and within budget.

• Mentor SAP technical consultants and developers, coordinating efforts among onsite, offshore, and vendor teams.

• Offer technical leadership for production support and AMS engagements.

• Spearhead root cause analysis, issue resolution, optimization, automation, performance tuning, and initiatives aimed at system stability.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

• 8-12+ years of technical experience with SAP; the position also mentions 10-15+ years of experience in SAP.

• 3-6+ years of experience leading SAP technical teams or workstreams.

• At least 2-3 prior experiences with SAP S/4HANA Brownfield migrations or implementations.

• Demonstrated experience in delivering SAP implementation, migration, or transformation projects.

• Proficient ABAP skills and hands-on remediation code experience.

• Strong stakeholder management, communication, leadership, and problem-solving capabilities.

• Ability to engage with assertive customer personalities.

• Experience in global delivery environments working with onsite and offshore teams.

• Excellent organizational, documentation, planning, and technical leadership skills while maintaining a hands-on approach.

• Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, ABAP/OO ABAP, Fiori/UI5, SAP Gateway, CDS Views, AMDP, OData Services, Workflow, Enhancement Framework, BAdIs, User Exits, SmartForms, and Adobe Forms.

• Knowledge of SAP BTP Integration Suite, CPI, REST APIs, SOAP Web Services, IDocs, RFCs, SAP PI/PO, and event-driven integrations.

• Experience with SAP Migration Cockpit, SAP Data Services (BODS), data validation and reconciliation, data conversion, cutover activities, and migration of master and transactional data.

• Proficiency in SAP BTP, SAP Build, BAS, SAP AI and automation tools, cloud integrations, and extensibility.

• PMMO (Project Manufacturing Management & Optimization) experience is strongly preferred.

• SAP BTP certification, SAP ABAP Development certification, Fiori/UI5 development, Agile/Scrum, presales, solution estimates, and proposals are preferred.

• Preferred industry experience encompasses manufacturing, aerospace and defense, utilities, energy, consumer products, life sciences, retail, and the public sector.
