Senior SAP Technical Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Provide technical leadership for SAP S/4HANA Brownfield Migration, implementation, upgrade, migration, and support initiatives.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders, functional consultants, architects, and development teams to create and implement scalable SAP solutions.

• Act as the primary technical authority for SAP development, integrations, custom enhancements, data migration, and technical architecture.

• Oversee both onsite and offshore teams, ensuring adherence to SAP best practices, quality standards, and delivery commitments.

• Direct the technical design, architecture, development, and solution delivery processes.

• Establish technical standards, development frameworks, and best practices.

• Convert functional requirements into technical solution designs.

• Supervise custom developments, enhancements, reports, interfaces, forms, workflows, and conversions.

• Manage SAP and non-SAP integrations utilizing APIs, middleware, IDocs, OData, web services, and cloud integration technologies.

• Perform code reviews and resolve complex technical issues.

• Lead technical conversion activities, custom code remediation, integration redesign, and assessments of technical readiness.

• Collaborate on data extraction, conversion, validation, and reconciliation efforts.

• Engage in cutover planning, mock conversions, dress rehearsals, and go-live activities.

• Direct technical workstreams from initiation through to deployment and support.

• Develop project estimates, plans, and resource requirements.

• Monitor progress, risks, issues, dependencies, milestones, budget, and delivery status.

• Provide technical status updates to project leadership and stakeholders.

• Mentor SAP technical consultants and developers while facilitating knowledge transfer and training.

• Coordinate the efforts of onsite, offshore, and vendor teams.

• Offer technical leadership for production support and AMS engagements.

• Drive root cause analysis, issue resolution, optimization, automation, performance tuning, and initiatives for system stability.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2–3 prior SAP S/4HANA Brownfield migrations.

• Proficient hands-on ABAP skills.

• Experience in code remediation.

• Ability to lead and collaborate with demanding customer stakeholders.

• Strong organizational, documentation, planning, and hands-on technical leadership abilities.

• 10–15+ years of SAP technical experience.

• 6–8+ years of experience leading SAP technical teams or workstreams.

• Demonstrated experience in SAP implementation, migration, or transformation project delivery.

• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

• Familiarity with global delivery environments that involve onsite and offshore teams.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

• Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, ABAP/OO ABAP, Fiori/UI5, SAP Gateway, CDS Views, AMDP, OData Services, Workflow, Enhancement Framework, BAdIs, User Exits, SmartForms, and Adobe Forms.

• Experience with SAP BTP Integration Suite, CPI, REST APIs, SOAP Web Services, IDocs, RFCs, SAP PI/PO, and event-driven integrations.

• Familiarity with SAP Migration Cockpit, SAP Data Services (BODS), data validation and reconciliation, data conversion and cutover activities, and master and transactional data migration.

• Knowledge of SAP BTP, SAP Build, BAS, SAP AI and automation tools, as well as cloud integrations and extensibility.

• Preferred: SAP BTP certification, SAP ABAP Development certification, SAP Fiori/UI5 development experience, Agile/Scrum methodology, presales activities, solution estimates, and proposals.

• Strongly preferred: PMMO (Project Manufacturing Management & Optimization) experience.
