Senior SAP IQ Database Administrator

• Enterprise Horizon Consulting Group is in search of a seasoned Sr. SAP IQ Database Administrator to act as a senior technical authority in the design, development, optimization, and management of SAP IQ database environments. This position demands extensive knowledge of SAP IQ, data engineering, and ETL operations, along with exceptional analytical and troubleshooting abilities. The administrator will work closely with Government stakeholders to address evolving business and technical needs while complying with all relevant security, governance, and operational standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Citizen with eligibility for government clearance

• At least fifteen (15) years of progressively responsible experience in supporting enterprise database environments

• Proven capability to lead the design, implementation, enhancement, and operational support of intricate SAP IQ and other database and data integration solutions

• Experience utilizing SAP Data Services to develop and maintain ETL workflows

• Familiarity with SAP IQ developer tools and Integrated Development Environments (IDEs)

• Experience in creating and implementing logical data models, schemas, and data validation processes

• Proficient in working with Linux (RHEL) and Windows operating systems

• Demonstrated experience reading from and writing to various file formats, including fixed-width, delimited, XML, and text-based formats

• Working knowledge of programming languages and scripting tools such as C/C++, Java, Python, Perl, and shell scripting

• Extensive experience with Java Database Connectivity (JDBC), including establishing database connections, executing standard or prepared SQL queries, managing result sets, and securely handling transactions, with the ability to assist end-users in troubleshooting

• Proficient in writing, analyzing, and optimizing complex SQL queries, including the identification and rewriting of long-running queries

• Demonstrated ability to provide technical leadership, mentoring, training, and knowledge transfer to database administrators, developers, analysts, and end users.

• Experience in developing and enforcing technical standards, operational procedures, governance practices, and documentation to support organizational goals.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the capability to address complex technical and operational challenges.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage technical teams, management, and business stakeholders.
