Database Administrator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Investigate and resolve support tickets related to applications and data.

• Develop, test, and execute SQL scripts for data updates, corrections, and maintenance tasks.

• Analyze data, stored procedures, and application behavior to troubleshoot production and UAT issues.

• Determine root causes of system issues and collaborate with development teams to implement effective solutions.

• Assist in fulfilling reporting and operational data requests across various business functions.

• Modify and manage existing stored procedures, queries, and database processes.

• Work alongside developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to comprehend system workflows and business rules.

• Engage in continuous application support, maintenance, and enhancement projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive SQL expertise, encompassing complex queries, joins, subqueries, and stored procedures.

• Proficiency in troubleshooting data issues and conducting production data analysis.

• Knowledge of SQL Server or comparable relational database systems.

• Capability to understand and navigate intricate business logic within existing systems.

• Experience in ticket-driven support or maintenance settings.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently while also collaborating with cross-functional teams.

• Familiarity with Java applications is advantageous, though not mandatory.

• Preference for candidates with experience supporting enterprise business applications.

• DBA experience is not a prerequisite.
