Senior SAP HANA, Analytics Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver operational assistance for highly available SAP S/4HANA and SAP HANA environments, encompassing system administration, monitoring, maintenance, upgrades, patching, performance optimization, and troubleshooting.

• Execute SAP HANA installations, version upgrades, backup and recovery processes, system replication administration, tenant database management, user and role administration, security enhancements, and system copy or refresh activities.

• Assist in the administration of SAP NetWeaver ABAP and S/4HANA, which includes kernel and support package maintenance, transport management, client administration, background job management, RFC connections, spool administration, and ensuring application availability.

• Manage and resolve issues related to the SAP Cloud Connector, involving subaccount configuration, high availability, certificate management, trust relationships, access control mappings, virtual host and port setup, and connectivity to SAP BTP services.

• Facilitate the connectivity and integration of SAP Analytics Cloud with SAP HANA and SAP S/4HANA, covering live connections, import connections, agent connectivity, authentication, certificate management, and comprehensive troubleshooting.

• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot SAP HANA Smart Data Integration and Smart Data Access, including installation and upgrades of Data Provisioning Agents, remote source configuration, flowgraphs, replication tasks, subscriptions, adapters, and monitoring of replication processes.

• Diagnose issues related to SDI replication delays, failed tasks, connectivity problems, certificate errors, source or target database issues, and data consistency challenges; collaborate with application and network teams until resolution is achieved.

• Comprehend network infrastructure architecture, including firewalls, load balancers, DNS, proxies, DMZs, private connectivity, and third-party cloud environments.

• Implement and uphold SSL/TLS certificates, which involves handling certificate requests, deployments, renewals, trust-store maintenance, and troubleshooting secure communication challenges.

• Create and maintain operational procedures, architectural documentation, runbooks, recovery protocols, and knowledge transfer materials.

• Engage in incident response, change management, disaster recovery drills, capacity planning, and on-call support as necessary.

• Operate independently, investigate unfamiliar challenges, coordinate across infrastructure, security, network, and application teams, and drive issues to resolution in regulated settings.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of hands-on experience in SAP HANA database administration and SAP Basis support.

• Extensive experience in supporting SAP S/4HANA, SAP Cloud Connector, SAP Analytics Cloud, and SDI/Data Provisioning Agent integrations.

• Background in assisting with SAP HANA, SAP S/4HANA, SAP Basis, and cloud-connected SAP applications within enterprise environments.

• Capability to work autonomously, investigate unfamiliar issues, collaborate across infrastructure, security, network, and application teams, and effectively resolve problems in regulated environments.

• Must be a US Citizen and hold ONLY US Citizenship.

• Proficient with SAP HANA Cockpit, SAP HANA Studio or database explorer, SAP Solution Manager, and SAP Focused Run for technical monitoring and alerting purposes.

• SAP HANA, SAP Basis, SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP, or SAP Analytics Cloud certifications are highly desirable.

• A Master's degree is preferred.
