This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
β’ Take ownership of all Salesforce development activities, including Apex, triggers, flows, data model, and integration layer.
β’ Manage the transition of Salesforce platform ownership from our managed service provider to an in-house team, ensuring documentation and governance are established from the outset.
β’ Develop and maintain integrations between Salesforce, the billing platform (Stripe/Recurly), and the engineering provisioning backend (WebService).
β’ Create and implement a scalable Quote-to-Cash data model that supports all four selling motions.
β’ Simplify the billing system by consolidating pricing plans, clarifying system-of-record ownership, and eliminating redundant logic.
β’ Act as the primary technical delivery partner to the VP of Revenue Operations.
β’ As the function evolves, engage in the recruitment of additional technical staff, including developers and operations specialists, to expand the team.
β’ 5-8+ years of hands-on experience with Salesforce development and end-to-end delivery.
β’ Extensive knowledge of Apex coding, including classes, triggers, batch jobs, and async patterns, combined with strong skills in flow and process automation.
β’ Experience in integration design and implementation, with a solid understanding of REST/webhook integrations between Salesforce and external systems (such as billing platforms, ERP, and provisioning APIs).
β’ Direct experience with at least one commercial billing platform (such as Stripe, Recurly, Zuora, or a similar system), alongside an understanding of product, contract, and subscription objects, pricing models, invoice triggers, and metering APIs.
β’ Practical QTC experience in a SaaS environment, having worked with quoting, subscription lifecycle management, usage-based billing, revenue recognition, or collections automation.
β’ Excellent communication skills to effectively translate RevOps requirements into a clear data model.
β’ Ability to operate as a senior contributor on a small teamβself-directed, capable of creating your own specifications, and functioning effectively without requiring an architect above you.
β’ Experience in contributing to the growth of the team as a senior resource, including participation in hiring processes (screening, interviewing, evaluating technical candidates) and mentoring junior or mid-level developers.
