This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Gabon.
• Generate and finalize leads and opportunities within strategic business units for major global accounts.
• Establish and nurture relationships with internal clients and support teams.
• Implement sales strategies and provide solutions to US-based clients for domestic opportunities.
• Meet with potential clients to explore new business prospects.
• Forge partnerships with SGS affiliates to showcase capabilities and secure sales.
• Create quotations and proposals, and negotiate fees, terms, and conditions.
• Obtain legal documentation such as non-disclosure agreements, service contracts, and statements of work.
• Assess sales opportunities within assigned channels.
• Collaborate with the sales manager to develop sales and marketing strategies.
• Participate in industry and trade shows for lead generation and business development.
• Compile call reports, trade show summaries, sales reports, and management presentations.
• Maintain customer information in the Customer Platform SharePoint site.
• Work with business unit managers on proposal requests.
• Deliver presentations to groups within customer organizations.
• Lead the preparation of written RFP proposals and coordinate information across various disciplines.
• Stay informed about SGS services and network.
• Uphold and promote SGS's image, capabilities, and integrity.
• Adhere to SGS health and safety regulations, Code of Integrity, professional conduct, standards, policies, and procedures.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent educational experience in Analytical Sciences, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• Over 7 years of proven sales success in the professional services sector.
• More than 2 years of experience in the relevant industry of the business unit.
• At least 2 years of project or contract management experience.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in international or multicultural settings.
• Direct experience in scheduling and planning activities.
• Proficient in the English language at an advanced level.
• Intermediate mathematical skills.
• Strong reasoning abilities and skills.
• Experience in international business involving imported consumer products.
• Persuasive and diplomatic sales techniques.
• Capability to interact with clients regularly, including face-to-face engagements.
• Ability to work autonomously and adapt to a dynamic environment.
• Competence in multitasking and meeting deadlines.
• Capability to navigate a global network across different time zones.
• Strong leadership and strategic thinking abilities.
• Analytical and/or clinical laboratory expertise.
• Skills in negotiation and managing contractual arrangements.
• Proficiency in project management and organizational skills.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
