This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +3 more states.
• Lead the technical evaluation stages for deals ranging from 100K to over 1M ARR.
• Perform in-depth discovery to align prospect workflows, technology stack dependencies, and decision criteria with Amplitude's unique offerings.
• Create and implement hands-on proof-of-concepts that demonstrate value using the prospect's actual data and scenarios.
• Address technical objections concerning data architecture, privacy/compliance, and integration complexity.
• Deliver presentations to C-level executives, translating technical capabilities into ROI narratives.
• Collaborate with Product Management to relay feature gaps and customer requirements that influence deal velocity.
• Coordinate with Customer Success to facilitate seamless transitions and technical alignment during implementation.
• Guide junior SEs on technical positioning and best practices for demonstrations.
• Contribute to our competitive intelligence regarding tools such as Google Analytics 4, Adobe Analytics, and Mixpanel.
• Create reusable demo assets, technical documentation, and proof-of-concept frameworks for the wider SE team.
• A minimum of 5 years in software pre-sales roles (SE, Sales Consulting, or technical Account Management).
• Must be adept at discussing nuanced technical concepts and be a self-directed learner (examples include: Python, SQL, hyperscaler integrations, APIs, R).
• Proficient in SQL: capable of writing joins, aggregations, and window functions to analyze behavioral data.
• Proven track record of successfully closing technical evaluations in competitive enterprise deals.
• Comfortable presenting technical ideas to both technical engineers and business stakeholders.
• At least 2 years of experience specifically with product analytics, experimentation platforms, or customer data platforms (Strongly Preferred).
• Familiarity with event-based data models and knowledge of tracking implementations (Strongly Preferred).
• Experience with BI tools (Tableau, Looker, Power BI) and how analytics platforms integrate with them (Strongly Preferred).
• Previous experience in SaaS companies selling to Product, Growth, or Marketing teams (Strongly Preferred).
• Understanding of regional data and privacy implications for analytics tools (Strongly Preferred).
