This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Japan.
• Drive the strategy for solutions, articulate the business value, and influence high-level executive purchasing decisions.
• Lead intricate security discussions, converting business risks into outcome-oriented architectures utilizing Sophos’ platform.
• Conduct assessments of customer security posture and maturity, effectively communicating measurable enhancements, threat detection maturity, and return on security investment.
• Cultivate and maintain robust relationships with technical stakeholders up to C-suite executives, aligning Sophos solutions with long-term security and business goals.
• Direct executive briefings, workshops, demonstrations, and proof of concepts (POCs) that foster consensus and technical confidence in Sophos solutions.
• Shape customer decision-making by balancing technical expertise with commercial awareness and strategic insight.
• Over 8 years of experience in a senior presales, sales engineering, or solution architecture position within the cybersecurity field, demonstrating success in enterprise environments.
• Strong domain knowledge in: MDR, EDR/XDR, and SIEM/SOAR platforms.
• Proficiency in incident response planning and frameworks.
• Skills in risk assessment, exposure management, and mitigation strategies.
• Knowledge of network and endpoint security architectures.
• Practical experience with security operations, threat detection techniques, and managed security services.
• Solid understanding of threat frameworks, security standards, and industry best practices (e.g., MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, CIS).
• Technical expertise across Windows, Linux, Active Directory, identity, and network security (L2–L7).
• Proven ability to competitively position solutions against endpoint, firewall, cloud, and SOC-focused vendors.
• Outstanding communication and presentation skills, capable of influencing both technical audiences and executive decision-makers.
• Native-level fluency in Japanese.
