This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Italy.
• Deliver presales technical expertise to Sales teams, concentrating on our key channel partners to enhance partner independence, elevate technical skills, and promote revenue growth.
• Take technical responsibility for designated channel partners, aiding in opportunity assessment and development, solution design, technical validation, demonstrations, Proof of Concepts (POCs), and technical training.
• Cultivate strong relationships with partner technical teams, architects, SOC teams, and business stakeholders, leveraging these connections throughout the sales process.
• Act as trusted advisors and technical leaders on Sophos products, services opportunities, and best practices.
• Organize and lead technical virtual and onsite meetings, product demonstrations, and proof of concepts with partners.
• Oversee and conduct training and certification programs for channel partners.
• Manage and guide the technical sales cycle from initial opportunity qualification to technical closure.
• Provide support for cross-selling and portfolio expansion within the existing Sophos customer base.
• Advocate for Sophos by delivering trainings and speaking at Sophos events or industry gatherings.
• Offer feedback to product teams, directly influencing global product roadmaps and feature improvements.
• Stay informed about the industry, technical, and competitive landscape, identifying emerging market trends and threats.
• Ensure technical resources are current and track presales activities in CRM.
• Proven experience as a Sales/Solutions Engineer in the cybersecurity sector.
• Experience working with and supporting channel partners and customers.
• Extensive technical knowledge of networking, endpoint security concepts, managed detection and response (MDR), business requirements, and compliance standards.
• Familiarity with Sophos solutions or comparable competitive products is highly advantageous.
• In-depth understanding of contemporary ransomware campaigns.
• A degree in computer science or computer engineering is strongly preferred.
• Security certifications are a plus.
• Understanding of the security software industry, including competitors, market demands, and trends.
• Exceptional presentation, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills, capable of presenting technical solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong project management capabilities.
• Must be self-motivated, a self-starter, and able to navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Willingness to travel extensively to support partners, as well as for conferences and training.
• Proficient in both Italian and English.
